DR ANDREW ATCHISON

Dr Andrew Atchison is a fully qualified, registered Osteopath and co-partner of Melbourne Osteopathic Clinic. Andrew completed a three year science degree at the University of Melbourne prior to his five year Osteopathic Program at RMIT University- from which he graduated with honours. At the completion of his studies in 2001 he helped initiate the transition of the Melbourne Osteopathic Clinic from the widely renowned RMIT Teaching Clinic into a busy professional practice.

Andrew is passionate about the Osteopathic philosophy and has witnessed many positive outcomes by employing a “hands-on” approach to a wide range of dysfunctions. He is particularly interested in the fields of spinal pathology, pregnancy, sports and workplace injury and has much experience at treating a range of conditions within these realms.

He has had a close affiliation with the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) both as a player and trainer and also works with the personal trainers and clients of Trewhealth Management. Through his corporate contacts Andrew has conducted a range of ergonomic and workplace assessments and provides advice about exercise and specific rehabilitation programs. He has recently been elected to the role of treasurer of the Victorian Branch of the Australian Osteopathic Association.


DR DAMIEN J. GUENGERICH

Dr Damien Guengerich, originally from Lake Glenmaggie near Heyfield in Gippsland, completed a Melbourne University Science degree before graduating from the RMIT Osteopathic Program. Along with Andrew, he continued MOC as a professional entity in 2001. He remains active with the University Blues A Grade Football Club in the VAFA, was a Vice-Captain of the Senior 2004 premiership side, and Premiership Coach of the Reserves in 2008. He is currently Osteopath to the AFL’s North Melbourne Kangaroos, and continues to treat a wide range of sports and work related injuries, as well as many babies and children.

As current Australian Osteopathic Association – Victorian Branch President, Damien believes the profession of Osteopathy will continue to grow as a leader in primary "hands-on" health care and is constantly reminded of the amazing self healing properties the human body possesses, that sometimes just need a "helping hand." He enjoys treating a wide variety of problems and thrives on the challenge of helping others attain and maintain optimal health.


DR REBECCA HAY

Rebecca graduated from Victorian University in 2006 and worked in the south eastern suburbs for 2 years honing her skills in the structural aspect of Osteopathy.

Rebecca then ventured overseas on a working holiday practicing as an Osteopath in Ireland. Rebecca has a passion for health and fitness and has worked with local football, soccer and netball teams assisting with the injury management and prevention rehabilitation.

Rebecca enjoys treating sporting injuries as well as neck pain, headaches, sciatica and assisting women through pregnancy.


WYNTER CHAN

Wynter Chan is an ESSA-Accredited Exercise Physiologist specialising in Clinical Pilates rehabilitation and strength and conditioning. Her extensive experience includes working in rehab with elite dancers from Australian Ballet and post-surgery patients at Epworth Hospital. She was also part of the AFL Western Bulldogs allied health team in 2008 and has a passion for working with athletes as well as weekend warriors.

She is an accomplished runner and multi-sport athlete, enjoys scaling large buildings, placing well in several events including the Rialto Run-Up. She also holds qualifications in Track and Field coaching and Strength and Conditioning.

Wynter believes there is an integrated approach towards any rehab case and is very passionate in helping clients towards their recovery. Her specialties include lower back pain, chronic neck/shoulder issues and foot biomechanics. To the surprise of the osteopaths, she had never had treatment for an injury before, she believes being injury and pain-free is the right of every person!


DR NIGEL LUCCHINELLI

Dr Nigel Lucchinelli is a fully qualified, registered Osteopath and member of the Australian Osteopathic Association (AOA). Nigel completed a three year Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Promotion) at Deakin University prior to his five year Osteopathic Program at RMIT University.

For the past ten years, Nigel has worked as a personal and group fitness trainer, focusing on strength and stability, as well as injury rehabilitation. Throughout this time Nigel has also been involved in Corporate Health Management as the Health Promotions Officer and fitness trainer of two leading Corporate Health Management organizations. He has also a keen interest in cycling and cycle ergonomics and bike setup.

Nigel is competent in treating a wide range of conditions and combines his osteopathic expertise with his background in fitness and personal training as the basis to the treatment of the patient and their future health management. He is particularly interested in the fields of posture analysis, core strength and stability and injury rehabilitation both in sports and the workplace. In his holistic approach, Nigel regularly prescribes exercises and advises upon lifestyle and maintenance care for the body and mind. Nigel has also opened up his own clinic ‘Realign Osteopathy’ in Martin St Brighton.


JOHN BOGLE: MYOTHERAPIST

Member of IRMA (Institute of Registered Myotherapists of Australia) and ANTA (Australian Natural Therapists of Australia) John treats and manages muscular conditions that cause Myofascial pain and affect human movement. He treats people from a range of occupations and through his playing involvement with the Yarraville Soccer Club has experience treating elite athletes and “weekend warriors”. John enjoys the challenge of helping people achieve and maintain optimum health to facilitate an enjoyable lifestyle.


DANIEL CARROLL & NAOMI ROWLINGS: PODIATRISTS

Better Feet Podiatry was founded by Daniel Carroll and Naomi Rowlings, Melbourne trained podiatrists who graduated from La Trobe University in 1999.

Daniel and Naomi are state registered podiatrists with the Podiatrists Registration board of Victoria, and have extensive expertise gained from working both in Australia and Internationally. Their career paths have been varied and have provided the opportunity to work in diverse settings, such as private practices, community health facilities and acute hospital departments in both Melbourne and London.

Naomi...
Naomi currently works in conjunction with the Alfred Hospital managing high risk complications associated with diabetes. Naomi is also a qualified Lymphoedema practitioner, and is a Clinical Supervisor at La Trobe University.

Daniel...
Daniel has extensive experience in lower limb biomechanics and gait analysis and has particular interest in treating and preventing postural issues. His interest in biomechanics has developed from his previous involvement as a player for VFL clubs Sandringham and Frankston, and seeing the associated injuries relating to poor gait and posture. He believes in a holistic approach to podiatric care, and that working within a multidisciplinary clinic can provide faster and more effective resolution of symptoms for clients.


ASHLEA ARNOLD- RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE MANAGER

Ashlea has been with us since February 2007, In this time she has completed her Certificate III in Business. Ashlea is also working with the Australian Osteopathic Association as the Victorian branch Administration Officer. Ashlea likes going to the football and barracks for Hawthorn.
